Why Do You Have To Be a B?

I work at an elementary school so everyone there is super friendly and sweet. Not! One woman in particular is a real B. Now I'm sure someone out there (probably her mama) thinks she is sweet as pie and that is great and all but personally from what I've seen she is an unhappy person who throws her problems at other people like bombs and today I got hit. I like to think I got attacked today because I had nothing to post about and she came to me so I can share with you.

I am doing a reading contest at the school and I post the stats of the contest on the bulletin board about every other day. Well I had just posted Friday afternoon and she said "you aren't doing a very good job at keeping up with the points". I was stunned. She called me out in front of several teachers and was just so blunt. If you are a teacher, well a human, you know that if you wanna say something you can go about doing so in a nice round about way. Now for one (which I did explain to her) I just updated the points Friday afternoon. Two, it is Benchmark week and woman I'm busy and kids are testing and not reading in the classroom.

She always walks around with "that face". You know the one I'm talking about. It makes me think she may not be getting any lovin' at the house. Usually I'm able to dodge her but today I just happen to be talking to a fellow teacher when she just stunned me with her meanness. After the fact, I had a million come backs that I wish I had said. My good friend at work (who I told about what happened as soon as I could) had some really great come backs. Dang how I wish I could turn back time and say exactly the right thing back. Instead I was professional and explained to her that I will not be updating the board until tomorrow.

It makes me wonder why some people are just mean. Is she really that unhappy? I knew she was known for being a B but how do you become one of those people that someone writes a whole blog post about? Don't make me mad-I'll write a post about you.

  1. I actually wonder that a lot about mean people. Why are they mean? Of course now I realize they're probably not "gettin' any lovin'..." Hahaha! They made me crack up, girl!!

  2. The "any loving" part made me laugh too... I wonder that too... I think is because they want everybody to feel like they do.

    Have a good night!

  3. EAK! THOSE people are the worst. I'm so good at comebacks after the fact too. Crazy woman. Hope you can keep steering clear of her.

  4. I can never come up with anything good to say in the moment. Before I left my job to stay home, I worked with primarily women and it was effing ridiculous how petty and catty they were. Made me feel like I was back in high school. Ick!

  5. I HATE when you come up with the perfect comeback when it's WAY too late. :( Happens to me all the time. So I always just awkwardly stutter until something lame comes to mind. Some women are just so incredibly rude!

  6. Here from the blog hop. THAT face drives me up the wall. Who knows what is running through her head. Best to avoid those people.

  7. That woman is spending too much energy on being mean. I agree she's a B, but I also feel sorry for her. Visiting from the hop - enjoy the rest of your weekend!

  8. There's always one... always, and I go out of my way to consistently be nice to them. 9/10 times they are good people who have great personalities that they keep buried for some reason. I've never known why. It's worth it to reach out sometimes though, and I bet everyone she called you out in front of knows that you're competent, and knows her personality too. It still stinks though, when something like that happens.

  11. Think you're on to something with the no lovin' at home idea. Even if it's just a hug. It is super hard to work with mostly women, whether we like it or not.
