There are some things that just can't be replaced. Sometimes even the most smallest thing can have lots of meaning to you. To someone else it could be just another piece of paper but to you it means the world.
Here is a list of things that I would hate to lose in a fire:
1. Jack's take home outfit.
2. My journals. I kept a journal for years as a child. When I got into high school my friend and I kept a journal and then gave each other the journal for Christmas. After Christmas we would start over. I cherish them so much and it is such a fun idea. Her memories were my memories because we did everything together but it was just from a different perspective.
3. Videos from back in the day. My friends and I would film and oh the fun we had just being silly. Those are cherished memories.
4. My Christmas ornaments. My sister and I have been exchanging ornaments since we were kids. Since getting married we buy a family one each year and we also get Jack a special ornament. I would be sad to see them go.
I know this isn't a long list because these are only the things I would really cry over. Everything else I could replace. I'd be sad but I could survive as long as I had those things on my list.
What would you hate to lose?
Also don't forget that this is Fire Prevention Week so check those smoke detectors!
I don't get attached to things like many people do. This is something I probably should really think about.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me that I need to get my rear in gear and transfer old movies to DVD before they get too old and ruined. I would hate to lose those. Thank you for linking to Super Sunday Sync.
